SAFETY & EMERGENCY NOTICE

A tool, not a guarantee.

Read this before relying on SHEcure in a real-world emergency.

Effective and last updated: 24 July 2026

During immediate danger

If possible, move toward a populated or secure location and call 112. Do not confront a suspected attacker or take an unsafe action merely to operate the app.

Technology can fail

Alerts can be delayed or fail due to signal, SMS service, airplane mode, shutdown, battery optimisation, permissions, GPS obstruction, Android restrictions, carrier failure or recipient conditions.

Location accuracy

“Exact location” cannot be guaranteed. GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile-network fixes have an accuracy radius and timestamp; indoor, underground, metro and dense-city conditions reduce accuracy.

Locked-phone activation

The supported shortcut is the SHEcure Quick Settings tile where Android permits it. Power-button interception is not universally available to ordinary apps and is not a guaranteed trigger.

Test regularly

Test with every trusted contact, confirm the message and map link, verify the tile, review battery settings and repeat after device or app updates.
